Hi, > > Has anyone tried to remove the *ANY from the communications entries > and just use specific entries?? Yes, pretty straightforward. We use generic entries for different device descriptions, so QPADEV* gets one-level of access and other (APPC) devices get different access. > We would like to not use QCMN if we can. > CRTDUPOBJ of QCMN and change that. When you can, start your new subsystem and end QCMN. You might find that you can end QCMN controlled and no new users will be able to use it, and your new subsystem will start taking over requests. Then of course you'll have to change your QSTRUPPGM so that it doesnt restart QCMN at the next IPL. Brendan NB If it seems to be cocking up and you cant restart QCMN until it kicks everyone off, duplicate QCMN again and start that subsystem and you'll have a stop gap solution until the users go home. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
