Wayne, you can use Client Access Express with the AS/400 at V4R4 and use SSL this connects using Digital Certificates. You can add a VPN connection to the AS/400 and still have the full functionality of CA/400(including Ops NAV.) If you would like any user using a Browser to access the 400 you can use Host On demand with SSL. This gives a fully functional PC5250 session and file Transfer capability. The AS/400 has native filtering rules ,NAT and VPN capability at V4R4 and can be made as secure as you wish.
