Tom,

I just went through this whole fiasco with IBM! Does the UPS happen to be
an Exide Powerware 3000? If so, take a look at what voltage the UPS is
sending to the AS/400. It is probably sending 230 and should be sending
208. It tells how to check and change this in the UPS manual. As soon as
ours was changed the problem went away. I have no idea why it ships with it
set to 230? Good luck.

Are you plugged into a UPS?

I installed a UPS at a client site.  I hooked up the comm cable from the
UPS to the 400, and kept getting that type of message until I plugged the
AS400 power cable into it.

power failed at 000427101433". Then it gives the message "System utility

restored at 000427101652". What is the error?.
