This gives you the possibility to create a Device instead of a Remote OUTQ. Working with a "Device" you have better control of the Printer. In order to work with TelNet5250e protocol, you need either a Print Server supporting this protocol (there are many vendors that sell Print Server with Telnet5250e support) or you can also use a software solution called Net-2000. This software is a TCP/IP solution that gives you a powerful 5250 emulator, a useful FTP appliation, + a complete support of the Printer session in Telnet5250e mode. If you want to try this solution, you can download a 30 days evaluation copy of this software at: http://www.compumaster.com The E/U price is US$ 340.00 for 5 licenses.
