You will need an additional communications line(s) for additional
modems.

The number and type are dependent on feature codes, ex:

1 communication controller w/2 lines = feature code 2609 which is
capable
of supporting two lines. This will support sync/async on either line.

 Check your system rack config and find out what
you have installed. The 620 can have up to a max of 96 lines installed,
so it's important to know what features you have installed.
