that they're unaware that the remote is an AS/400. Our ZMOD package
talks to lots of CC agencies.

[Tim McCarthy] The Longitudinal Redundancy Check is a form of
check digit. Unfortunately the term LRC has been applied to everything
from a checksum to a CRC. In your case it's going to be the resultant
character when each ASCII character in the string you're sending has
been XOR'ed together.
