I think maybe you've read this wrong.  I don't think it said SSP.  
I think it said the S/36 virtual machine *M36.  This is the one 
where you had to do STRPASTHR or some goofy function to get into 
the S/36 environment.  Still works on V4R4, but will be fazed out 
later.  If you disagree with the intrepretation, please post link 
to announcement.

Does this mean you cannot run not native?
