Keith,

Look at the GRTOBJAUT and RVKOBJAUT commands.  Type the command, press <f4>, 
then press <f1>.

A side note:  since you know that the function you want to execute deals with 
objects and authority, you could type either GO CMDOBJ <enter> or GO CMDAUT 
<enter>.  This would bring a list of commands dealing with the subject.  In 
both cases you would have come across the GRTOBJAUT and RVKOBJAUT commands.  
The GO CMDxxx format is extremely helpful in finding the right command on the 
AS/400.

Thanks for all your replies on this thread.. I have a temporary fix on the 
problem now.  Just one last thing....If I want to change the *public authority 
on all the files in a library in one go what is the command that will allow me 
to do this??
