I did that using both trnfmt(*TEXT) and TRNFMT(*NOTEXT).  I viewed both results 
on my PC using
Notepad and they looked the same.  Notepad is still treating it like there are 
still <CR><LF>'s at
the end of each record.

If you take the flat file (I assume a PF) and do a CPYTOPCD it will end up
in a 'PC' text file without adding any <LF> or <CR>.  This is what we do to
e-mail edi documents.   Do you also need to remove trailing spaces from the
record?  Our flat file already has them removed.
