Another, perhaps simpler method, is to use the ETU/36 loaded on the AS400
and running in M36 mode.  This is a product originally written for Emerald
by Synapse engineers.  The product is now owned by Nlynx/DecisionData.  It
loads on the host (one time host fee of $500) and is compatible with
Windows emulation (twinax or TCP/IP) from either Nlynx or Synapse.

It works with S36 files that are defined a one field because it uses RPGII
F&I specs to chop up the fields.  Zoned, binary, and packed decimal are
supported.  Most S36 environments already have these "RPGII source members"
as they were invaluable for use with DFU (dumb something utility).
