Hi all,
I have a lot of client access attached printers, that produce a joblog when
someone ends them (severity 50).  I want to supress these.
Printers seem to all run under user QSPLJOB (which i can't change), which
uses QDFTJOBD job description.

I do not agree.  I think printers use their own *JOBD's.

Question:  what else uses QDFTJOBD (or how can i find out) as i don't want
to supress anything i might want to know about; or is there any way to
change either user QSPLJOB's attributes, or change which user the printers
run under?

To eliminate job logs from printers, execute the following commands:
CHGJOBD    JOBD(QSPLPRTW) LOG(0 99 *MSG)
CHGJOBD    JOBD(QSPLAFPW) LOG(0 99 *MSG)
CHGJOBD    JOBD(QSPLRMTW) LOG(0 99 *MSG)
CHGJOBD    JOBD(QSPLSTRWTR) LOG(0 99 *MSG)

Al
