The short answer is "You can't."
The longer answer is "Try TAATOOLS."  Jim Sloan's company
(http://www.taatool.com) may well have a tool that can do this (CVTFRMSPLF).
I have not had the time to get the demo tape to try it out...
The longest answer is "You can use the spooled file APIs."  This is the
answer you don't want to hear.  These APIs are big and nasty.  I would go
this route only if (a) Your employer is way too cheap to spend the money on
an already written and tested tool and (b) you have six months to develop
it.
