You do not mention the version of DB2 on the 390, it needs to be at least 5 to 
be able to do this with TCP, otherwise you must use SNA LU 6.2

Your User ID must have CREATE IN authority in collection QSQL400 on the 
S/390 system. 
Be current on PTFs because the project is a nightmare :-( , but we have full 
DRDA (APPC) active for more than one year.

                In my opinion i did my best to create connection. I have 
created RDB Directory Entry with this command ADDRDBDIRE RDB(HOST) 
RMTLOCNAME(xx.xxx.x.xx *IP) 
        STRSQL >> 
        CONNECT TO HOST USER AAA USING ' ' 
                I have accessed to the S/390  via my Host user name and 
password authorization passed. But after that there is a message SQL Package 
Creation failed. 

        Is there a checklist for doing this? Manuals, Redbooks etc.
