The Java Developer's Journal published their 2000 Reader's Choice Awards in the 
August issue.
For best modeling tool - winner Rational Rose from Rational Software
                                   1st runner up TogetherJ from TogetherSoft
                                   2nd runner up Power Designer v7 from Sybase
                                   3rd runner up Cool:Joe from Sterling Software

Some other awards:
    IBM WebSphere v3.0 - 1st runner up best application server
    IBM VA for Java v3.0 - winner best Java IDE, winner best team development 
tool, winner most innovative Java product
    BEA  Weblogic server - 1st runner up best Java app
    IBM WebSphere Host On-demand v4 - 1st runner up best Java middleware
