AS/400, HTTP, iPTF and Domino

Hello fellow AS/400ers;

Question #1) I am trying to access the HTTP admin via my 
web browser and I am having a problem.  After running 
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN), using my 
browser I type http://(insest my AS/400 name):2001.  
After signing on as QSECOFR, the AS/400 TASKS window 
come up and then the whole things dies.  The Jobs 
running for ADMIN under subsystem QHTTPSVR end.  The 
only message I get is form DSPLOG saying that they ended
normally (Go figure).   Does this WebSphere thing actual 
work?  And if it's suppose to work, how can I get this 
"best thing since slice bread" software to work for me?

Question #2) I signed up for the internet download of 
PTFs from the internet.  I have done all the setup 
stuff.  I Ran the "Test SOCKS (or 
Alternate) Configuration" and received the "Your socks 
configuration works" message.  So when I try to download 
a PTF,  I accept the security warning for the applet to 
run and nothing happens.  No signon for the AS/400, 
nothing.

Question #3) Now, I am not an idiot, but why cannot I 
get these "higher" function stuff to work?  I will not 
go into All my Domino problems, what a piece of garbage. 
I cannot get the software to run and Lotus wants $250.00 
an hour to help me.  No thanks.  I am tired of reading 
red book after red book; so, if you are in the NYC area 
and you know a thing or two about Domino for the AS/400 
and you want to make a quick $.  Email me

FYI - AS/400 model 170, running V4R4 (there are no PTFs 
listed for product 5769DG1)
