I have done this on a trial basis, but the customer ultimately went with
pre-printed cards.  They felt it was more cost effective to order
pre-printed cards and run them through a high-speed impact printer rather
than use blank laser stock and tie up the laser printer.  Be sure to contact
your local Post Office for particulars if you decide to do this in house.
