• Subject: Creating a file in the IFS

Hi All,

I just started using the IFS API's, and some of the non-manual reading I've
done (e.g. this mail list) suggests that in order to create and write to a
file in the IFS, it is necessary to open it with the O_CREAT flag, close it,
then open it again for writing.

As far as I could see in the manual, this is not a requirement of the API.
And in fact, I wrote a program that successfully opens an IFS stream file
with O_CREAT + O_WRONLY, writes to it, and closes it.

Am I missing something?
