Thank You Barbara ! The date from the QusRtvJobI API ends my quest for a static job date. The Holy Grail of job dates. For the benefit of the list archives I will mention that ALL job / system dates in the Program Status Data Structure are subject to change during the life of an active job. They are static only within the context of an instance of a running program from the time the program starts to the time it ends (with LR on for RPG). In other words, the following PSDS dates can change within a running job. pos 191-198 "The date the job entered the system" will change via CHGJOB DATE(new date) pos 270-275 "The date the job started running in the system" will changed via CHGJOB DATE(new date) pos 276-281 "The Date of program running (the system date in UDATE format)" will change across midnight DaveK ----- Original Message ----- From: <bmorris@ca.ibm.com> To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2000 3:10 PM Subject: Re: PSDS System Date / InternalJobID > Call this program that displays both UDATE and the > "Date job entered system" from QUSRJOBI format JOBI0400: > > D rcvr ds > D date 63 69 > D rcvLen s 10i 0 inz(%size(rcvr)) > C call 'QUSRJOBI' > C parm rcvr 200 > C parm rcvLen > C parm 'JOBI0400' format 10 > C parm '*' qualJob 26 > C parm *blanks internalId 16 > C udate dsply date > C seton lr > > Then do CHGJOB DATE(whatever) and call the program again.
