There is no need to memorize the max disk by model, the max memory, the
number of slots, or the height or weight of the machine for that
matter.  As I recall the questions about max disk related to the 170
only because there is a 10 disk limitation on that box. Doing the math
on 10 disks of xx size with or without raid or mirroring is something a
qualified candidate should be able to do.  Knowing that the 170 has a 10
disk limit and what size those disks can be is also something that the
qualified candicate should know.

Many of the qustions cover 'limitations', such as tape drive
compatability, what tape drives attach to what systems, what systems can
be upgraded to what other systems, and items like that, and they are the
common ones.  For example there is no questionn "What is the maximum
aggregate throughput to 3590 tape drives when the maximum number of
drives are connected to an 840 24 way system using only HSL between
expansion cabinets?"  That's not real world, not even IBM knows that
answer.  There are several questions that deal with tape drive
compatability with the existing drive in an upgrade scenario, as that IS
real world.

As stated previously in this thread. If you do system configurations and
or install systems and upgrades routinely, this test won't be so hard.
If you don't do this, then you'd better memorize the System Handbook
(and get a life).
