Where can I get examples (actual VB code) of data queue inquiry
programs??

Booth,

If you can cobble together a little vb or vc++ or whatever program that
can
use activex controls, you could use the data queue control that comes
with
the client access toolkit. It's super easy to use. If you can ping the
AS/400, you can send it data. There's not much danger of anyone doing
anything untoward - no command line access or anything, just a data
pipe to
the program that knows what to do with the transactional data.
