I am having trouble issuing large commands from the 5250 emulation screen which onlyI am not sure you how are accessing your command lines, but try typing
allows two-lines of commands at a time.
call qcmd
which will give you access to four lines and you can change these to many more by pressing F11.
Alternatively, you can type in the command name and press F4 which will display each element of your command with a typing space for each element
