I think you'll find that Client access does not use FTP to do it's transfers. Transfers are handled by the trransfer function which does a lot that FTP is not capable of doing like mapping from one file format to another. Additionally, not everybody uses TCP/IP, some sill se SNA(netsoft) to connect! -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Harry D. Angkasa Sent: 07 September 2000 17:23 To: Midrange-L Subject: We are using a tool to log FTP activities, but all File Transfer thru Client Access are not logged. I beleive Client Access uses another socket for File Transfer, or maybe uses another TCP Server. Anyone know what socket they are using? how to protect and log? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
