Hi Joel -

Two things come to mind right away:

1. if you use USER(*JOBD) on the SBMJOB, to pull the user profile from the
job description rather than specifying it explicitly: for security levels 30
and down, the user doing the submit only has to have authority to the jobd
and does NOT have to have authority to the user profile specified on the
jobd. For 40 and up, the user must also have authority to the user profile.
Since you are going to be specifying the user profile explicitly on the
SBMJOB command, that does not come into play.

2. if the SBMJOB specifies or defaults to MSGQ(*USRPRF), the message queue
of the submitter gets used, rather than the message queue of the profile
that the job actually runs under. Depending on the circumstances, that may
be good or may be bad.
If it's bad, you can get around it with a double submit. Submit a job
with MSGQ(*NONE) specifying the user profile you want, where that job's only
function is to submit the actual job that you want to run.
