Setting the system value or specifying FRCCVNRST(*YES) will kill the
restore performance, slurping up interactive CPU cycles.  Instead,
restore
without conversion specified, and then run the STROBJCVN command over
the
libraries restored in batch.

Al,
Once again, you're very right.  I started the restore with the
conversion *YES, and it's been restoring the first of three tapes ALL
DAY.
I'll definitely follow your advice for the next two tapes...
