Kenneth,

As you say the PC has CA Express, you must be using netserver to
share resources. Netserver can share printers as well as files, but
you may have to explicitely share the printer in question. Also, if
I'm not mistaken, printer drivers are optionally installed
components in CAExpress, so you might have to install that to set
up the new printer def in Windows.

Subject: Printing a MS Word document to an AS/400 printer...

I'm experiencing a major brain drain right now and the AS/400 information
Center isn't providing the information I require to figure this out ....

I've been asked if it is possible to print a Microsoft Word Document created
on a PC to an IBM 3900 printer attached to the AS/400.

The PC has Client Access Express installed on it.

I vaguely remember doing something similar several years ago at my previous
job, but I can't remember how I did it.

Was printing from the PC to an AS/400 printer only possible with the old SNA
based CA/400 clients?

Kenneth
