If your printer has a IP address and if the volume of printing is low, you
should really look into host print transform.

Her is the command that we use:

CRTDEVPRT DEVD(P999P01) DEVCLS(*LAN) TYPE(3812) MODEL(1) LANATTACH(*IP)
+
PORT(9100) FONT(11) FORMFEED(*AUTOCUT) PARITY(*NONE) +
STOPBITS(1) TRANSFORM(*YES) RMTLOCNAME('w.x.y.z')
SYSDRVPGM(*HPPJLDRV) TEXT('Description') +
 WSCST(HP5)

Where : P999P01 = Printer name

w.x.y.z = Printer address (you can substitute a host name if it is
present in the host table)

I am trying to write a report that needs to print with different size fonts.
Also this report is required to print on a HP Deskjet printer whose only
connection to our AS/400 is via our network.

I downloaded Mocha W32 LPD from www.mochasoft.dk and once this was set up I was
able to print on the Deskjet. Unfortunately Mocha W32 LPD has no support for
IPDS so different size fonts isn't possible.

Is there some other software, similar to the Mocha offering, that works for IPDS
?

Or are there any other options ?

I've been reading about AFP, Host Print Transform and PSF. But so far this has
only confused me, any help would be appreciated.

Our AS/400 is running V4R4.
