Passthru can disable due to many reasons.
Check list:
1) WRKCFGSTS *DEV S10A8049* And check out the status of the device.
2) If you have TCP/IP configured over the line also (everything here is
LAN/WAN), then try pinging something over the line to see if it is only
SNA.
3) Try having someone at the remote site pass thru to you to see if it is
only a one way problem - happens.
4) Try configuring a session on your PC directly to the remote site.

Sometimes what happens is that I end up varying off/on the configuration
(controller and it's devices - line is normally not a problem). This
sometimes will stop the 0009.

Hallo

I need some help.
I already configure anynet as/400 to as/400.

when I try to STRPASTHR RMTLOCNAME(S10A8049) LCLLOCNAME(TAMNET2)
I got a message like this :

Message . . . . : APPC failure. Failure code is X'0009000000000000'.

Cause . . . . . : An APPC failure occurred while pass-through was using

device S10A8049 on system AS400E. The first four digits of the failure
code
contain the reason code. The remaining digits contain sense data. Values

for the first four digits of the failure code are:

0009 -- Activate session timed out.

what should i do ?

thanks

winardi
