Assuming TCP/IP:
1. Check routing info
2. Check MTU size, it should be 1496.
3. CHGTCPA and set a buffersize greater than 8k might improve transfer
speed.
4. If You are at V4R4 or higher and have the possibility to specify TCP/IP
only at the line description, do so.

>Right now, if I move files back and forth between our 2 as/400's , which
are sitting 3 feet apart...  The transfer is soooo slow...  And it's an
Ethernet connection...  >So I was wondering maybe we have a wrong setting
or something...  Anybody have any ideas where to look?

thanks,  tim
