I need it to start up after SMTP is started, which I'm starting in QSTRUP. Currently, I don't have any control over it.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
If you are going to start it in your startup program anyway it's going to
start pretty much at the same time, QSYSWRK is started when any other
subsystem is started.
Can't see that it would cause any problems - MSF functions just won't run
until you run the STRMSF if you remove the QZMFECOX autostart entry from
QSYSWRK subsystem. If you just want to change the # of MSF jobs started
you can alter the request data (command string) on the QZMFEJBD job
description.
I don't believe the entry will be put back on a release upgrade.

Subject: MSF
In subsystem QSYSWRK there is an autostart job entry of:
Job Job Description Library
QZMFECOX QZMFEJBD QSYS
(there are a number of other entries also)
This particular autostart job entry starts MSF. I don't want MSF to be
started up automatically when the QSYSWRK subsystem starts. Instead, I
would like to control when it starts and put it in my startup program
(QSTRUP). Does anyone know what the ramifications are of removing this
autostart job entry? Will this entry be put back in whenever I do an
upgrade?
Thanks,
Dave
