Hi Marco - >Ok, but just to know it: how do you configure your laser >IPDS on your AS400? >I ask it because if your are using IPDS future you must >have PSF on your system and if you have PSF you can attach >a FORM definition to your DEVICE description, no matter if >your have or not AFP utilities. PSF is not required to have a printer configured as IPDS. Granted, the capabilities are limited without it, but you can do barcodes (which is what we use it for), fonts, and probably a few other things. >Another source about IPDS/SCS printing on laser printers >(IBM) is: >IPDS and SCS Technical Reference >code: S544-5312-04 >It's a little outdated, maybe you can find a new version >now. I already have S544-5312-05. Using that is how I was able to figure out what SCS command I need to send to the printer to use tumble duplex, it's just a matter of figuring out how to get it there. A data transform program should be able to do it, but I couldn't get it to work, and the documentation on it is poor even for IBM. :( Ken Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, Inc.
