Hi all! I'm after a bit of assistance in a situation that has developed at my workplace. We are replacing two aging HP Laserjet 4si's with Lexmark Optra W810's. There's two problems, the first is I'm having trouble sending just raw text to an AXIS box on the 810 from the AS/400. With the AXIS box configured as either a 4214 or a 3812(5219) the AS/400 insists on applying formatting to any text sent to it (via printscreens or just members from a text file printed to it), and as a result the specific commands for the AXIS box are ignored and printed out instead of being applied to the AXIS box settings. The other problem is, I'd like to eventually do away with the AXIS boxes altogether and just print IP to these printers. The problem is, the printer just prints in it's standard font, I'm using a WSCST object that I've been supplied with, but am confused as to how to configure it to print the fonts I'm after. The font ID used in the spool file is 87, which is Letter Gothic I believe. On the 4si we're replacing, it's font ID is 042, and on the W810 it is R42. How does the AS/400 translate it from 87 to 042 for the HP, and how can I send the font ID via IP ?? I can supply the WSCST source if anyone needs to see it. Many thanks in advance.
