Hi Keith,
I assume you are talking about using IBMs ClientAccess for connecting to the 
AS/400.
The user-defined environment was a problem with ClientAccess on NT which IBM 
learned to solve only after a while ...
Here is the solution:
With a nomal installation of ClientAccess there should be a program called 
"cwbcfg.exe".
Usage from command line will be something like : cwbcfg /host  myas400  /ipaddr 
 192.168.1.1  /view  5250
(you can prompt for help with /? for a complete list of arguments ...)
What it does: cwbcfg copies the entries of the administrators tree to the "all 
users" section inside the NT registry, you
can tell it to update the ".default" - user keys as well.
I use this command at several (customer) sites, one could consider to use it in 
login scripts to guarantee the user's
environment is up-to-date. I even use it in a Zenworks setup under Novell 4.11 
and Novell 5.1, this works extremely
well when using roaming (server) profiles which are stored in a network folder.
