  Cisco PIX. (We are a Cisco BP)

  Basic Model 515 approx $4,500 including cisco's version of Software
Subscription.

  Very!  Extremenly reliable, high volumn, VPN, Logging, and
authentication all included.

> 4) How difficult was it to configure?

  Because I do this all the time I think it was very easy.  I use the
command line and it is very very fast.  There is a GUI that I have not
used so cannot comment on it.  Basic configuration including mapping
ports etc from box to traffic under 1/2 day.
