> Have you seen what the Australian dollar is worth these days.....

What with untrimmed old content, included binary material and
boilerplate disclaimers, this single line took 6.7KB of
bandwidth on arrival here.

a) Trimming long-redundant content is simple courtesy, especially
when there's been sufficient topic drift to make the old crap
   down on line 400 irrelevant.

b) Sending binaries OF ALL TYPES is a security exposure. Do you
really know that nothing sensitive just happened to be in that
piece of storage when it was encoded?

c) Boilerplate disclaimers added to posts - usually from fringe
financial institutions - have been adjudged ineffective in law
in most jurisdictions. In order to even have a hope of being
effective, they MUST be added by a wilful act of the actual
author. Even then, they are rarely binding on the recipient
and you'll notice that the really savvy financial institutions
(the ones with the good lawyers) have long since stopped using
   them.
