Ken,

You make a good point about the problems with digest mode - never having
used that I was not aware that the software doesn't have the smarts to
strip the additional HTML baggage. What with that, and Bob being afraid
of dragons, as well as his Outlook problem with HTML (imagine that, a
Microsoft product having problems with standard HTML :-) ), I have
withdrawn back to my cave where I sit wearing my animal skins, chiselling
this reply with a flint by the dwindling light of the fire that I just
used to cook part of a woolly mammoth for dinner. I have changed the user

preferences in Notes for email to prompt when sending every Internet email

as to whether to send HTML, Text, or both - so I can select Text Only for
Mid-L. Too bad Notes doesn't have an option to store the preferred method

in the Address Book. (And I don't need to hear about Microsoft products
that do ! ;-) ).

My email software will handle HTML just dandy. The problem is digest
mode,
which just concatenates the messages together. So all of the HTML shows
up
in raw form. Likewise, attachments show up in raw form. A couple of
weeks
ago there was a digest (which run about 40K) that because of HTML and
excessive quoting had THREE messages in it. A digest should have 10-20
messages.
