Hello,

I am trying to move an Okidata 591 (dot matrix printer) from a PC
using Client Access to a Jetdirect (500X) and maintain printing from
the AS/400. I have found that the MFRTYPMDL for HPT is *OKI591IBM on
the CRTDEVPRT command. What is confusing me after checking the archive
and IBM pages is what to use for the type since it is not a PJL
printer and I can't use 3812.

Details:
AS/400 model 170
V4R4M0
Cum: 0350
TCP up and running
Jetdirect configured to network and running
Okidata 591 printer connected to port 1 (PORT(9100) on CRTDEVPRT)
All spool files that will be sent are SCS but do use mixture of 10cpi,
15cpi, 6lpi, 8lpi but fixed per spool file.

I would prefer not to use the RMTOUTQ route since this is for printing
statements and they often must restart a spool file in the middle to
handle jams and reprint requests. Can anyone that has done this please
post an example of the configuration(s) needed to set this up, or at
least point me to the definitive documentation?

Thanks

Roger Vicker, CCP
