I'll do that this evening, but I can pretty much tell you what they are off the 
top of my head.

CFGTCP 1 has two entries:

     10.1.1.17        255.255.255.0    ETHLINE      *ELAN  
     127.0.0.1        255.0.0.0        *LOOPBACK    *NONE  

CFGTCP 2 has a single entry, *DFTROUTE:

     *DFTROUTE        *NONE            10.1.1.17       *NONE

CFGTCP 4 has no entries - it says (no port restrictions)

Now, I've just looked at a client box, and they have a different setup.  They 
give their AS/400 a realworld IP address, and then route things this way:

     *DFTROUTE        *NONE            216.36.82.1     *NONE     
     10.1.1.0         255.255.255.0    216.36.82.12    *NONE     

(I changed the destination addresses to fit my numbering - the second 
destination address is my router, the first is the gateway given to me by my 
ISP).

I wonder if I shouldn't attempt this?  My only concern is that it gives my 
AS/400 a "realworld" IP address.

You did Neil, and I found it.  When I run the trace on an inside ping, it
works great, I see a single record for the ping:

(Data truncated due to 5250 display, but you get the idea).

When I do the exact same trace for pinging an address outside the subnet, 
I
get no packets whatsoever - I get a CPF39B9, no trace records found.

This machine just doesn't want to talk outside its net for any reason.  I
looked at system values, and nothing looks bad.  To add insult to injury,
all of IBM's AS/400 service sites are down, so I can't even access the
forums.
