No, but makes a great mass update tool for those without tools.

1) Customers don't have or want the SQL License
2) historically slower
3) set at a time processing vs. record processing can be an issue
4) takes more skill to do with same dollars for overhead, maintain, etc.
5) Database tables must be of good design to get the task completed using
this as a programming platform without resorting to 3GL.
6) advantages of SQLexec has not been understood and a last resort
mentality.
7) Most of the work, at least 50.1 %, for business application modifications
requires logic that is more difficult to implemented in SQL.
