Define a field &CSTNBRPARM as 7 alpha

CHGVAR &CSTNBRPARM VALUE('''' *TCAT &CSTNBR *TCAT '''')

I think I got the syntax right.  You need to have quotes around the
field.  The query thinks you are passing it a field name.
