        Albert,

        You may want to IPL to DST and make sure the console mode is set to
        Operations console, even if it says that it is set that value and
press
        enter and finish the IPL. I had a similar problem and that is what
IBM had
        me do. If you need more information let me know.

        I have a problem with Operations Console that I couldn't find an
answer to
        in the archives.

        It works great if I start the PC and then IPL the AS/400. However,
if I
        have
        to reboot the PC the console won't reconnect. The remote control
panel
        comes
        up fine, but the console doesn't. I just get the message 'Connecting
        console.

        I have removed all other devices from CTL01. The device stays at
vary on
        pending.

        In order for this to be reliable I need to know I can restart the PC
if I
        have to.
