|  Okay Mike,          I have two thoughts 
here. First, since the early days of System/38 CPF there has been a way to put a 
bunch of CL commands into a source member and then submit a job to execute them 
without creating a CLP. I think it was SBMDBJOB but it's been awhile. Anyway, 
you could FTP your command source to the target AS/400 and then you can SBM a 
job to execute the CL commands in the member.         Second, your assumption 
that this is the best way to do this is a little flawed in that this is the 
FIRST thing I recommend anyone turning the FTP demon on protect against in there
