That said, some programs (not good ones, but some) will execute QSYS/RTVJOBA instead of the unqualified name. In this case, you are left only with replacing the RTVJOBA command in library QSYS itself. Come on, Al, this is not the end of the world. I'll agree that it's not nice, and there are probably dozens of ways to solve it. I might have opted for a different command parameter instead of your (admittadly unseen) proposed pseudo-code... return first 25 into USRLIBL and all 250 into an extended-library-list parameter. Why add complication to complication? Anyway, a well-written RTVJOBA command/cpp could be written and placed into QSYS (or a library ahead of same), doing whatever the heck you want to do. You don't like IBM's code? OK, write your own. I've been doing that for decades, since the System/3. -- Dennis Lovelady Fayetteville, GA mail: dennis@lovelady.com URL: http://www.lovelady.com ICQ: 5734860 -- Sign seen in a Japanese hotel: "You are invited to take advantage of the chambermaid." +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
