Actually it is not duplicating the messages but redirecting them to the new queue. I created it last night after reading about it here. I have just now added it to our monitoring & paging system. Some critical messages were not being picked up cause they did not show up in Qsysopr but were found in QSYSMSG this morning. A word to the wise, Christopher K. It's mere existence in QSYS causes OS/400 to duplicate many QSYSOPR messages and adds some more. THis queue does not get cleared at IPL. It is a gold-mine IMHO. Need to know messages like hardware failures, exceeding storage limits, password failures, disabled profiles, but nothing at all about printer jams, paper outages, simple job failures to mess it up. - Larry +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
