Ray,

An explanation to go with the advice you were already given - CAE no longer
contains the functionality for sharing disk space or printers on the AS/400.
If you need to be able to do that, your /400 has to be running V4R2 or
later, you need to start NetServer on your /400 (think of it as something
that emulates Windows NT disk and printer sharing), and you need to specify
which directories and printers on the AS/400 you want to share.  If
everything is configured correctly, this should enable all the PC's on the
network to "see" the /400 in Network Neighborhood, whether CAE is installed
or not.  For more info on NetServer, go to
www.iseries.ibm.com/netserver/index.html - there's lots of good stuff there.
(Note - with NetServer running, you can install CAE from the /400 without
carrying around any diskettes or CD's.)
