I got those number from IBM. It is part of a PDF document called: 
WCS+Pro+for+iSeries+400.pdf

I dont attach it to this mail because I dont think that everyone would like to 
receive this attachment. Here is the quote from this document:

Minimum recommended system configuration:
- AS/400 model 9406-270 f/c 2252
- 950 CPW
- 1Gb main memory
- 8Gb DASD (as many arms as possible)

We also conducted this week a phone meeting with some websphere specialist from 
IBM to help us size up the AS/400 that we would require. To do so, we were 
given a standard questionaire. Here it is:
  
1.  How many total visits per hour do you anticipate for the WebSphere Commerce 
Suite during the busiest hour of the day? (To do a standalone sizing for 
WebSphere Payment manager, enter 0 (zero)  here and then skip down to question 
#4)

Answer: 200

2. Which workload mix (i.e. browse/buy ratio) best matches your  workload?
95% / 5%
80% / 20%
50% / 50%

Answer: 95%/5%

3. How many specific product items will you browse per visit?

Answer: 15

4. Will WebSphere Payment Manager be used to process payment transactions?

Answer: No

5.  What is the total size of the database and directories that will hold 
inventory, orders, logs, and customer information (MB) ?

Answer: 30Gb

6. DBCS support for this workload:

Answer: no

7. RAID support for this workload:

Answer: yes

From this, IBM recommended a 820-0150 1100 CPW

           Can you give us specifics "The minimum requirement" on the source
of this, as I have seen 170's running a work load under websphere with out
much effort. Also, if this is an estimator tool, what did you plug into it
??
