We use the Spyview software from Magellan <http://www.magellan.com/> for
both AS/400 spooled reports and for scanned documents. The data (including
images) is stored on the AS/400 and can be put on a 3995 optical system for
permanent storage.

Spooled reports can be viewed from any 5250 access or via Magellan's
Spyvision software that runs on PCs. Scanned documents can be viewed only
via Spyvision. Spyvision uses a sockets connection to the AS/400. The load
on the AS/400 seems to be minimal since the PC software is doing all of the
work of actually displaying the image.

There seems to be some problem with their website at the moment as the name
could not be resolved. You could call them at 949-784-8000.
