Have you considered using host print transform printing.
We ran into a similar problem, we had defined the print queues with the
users static IP address, everything worked fine until oneday a network
administrator in another department decided to iplement DHCP. Thus the
static IP addresses ended up all over place. To overcome it I wrote a
utility to dynamically resolve the workstations IP address at the time of
printing and inturn modify the OUTQ accordingly.

Hello All,
I have an application that is accessed by people from our local
400 as
well as remote 400's. I am using the DSPDEVD API to retrieve the remote
location so that I can send spool files to the remote system. The
problem that I am having is that when someone passes through, then signs
off, then a local user signs on and uses the same device, the remote
location remains the same. Make sense? I need to be able to determine
if the user is local or remote, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Mark
