Hmmm, I don't see it on my Ops Nav. I'm running V3R1M2, which is the latest
version I've been able to dredge up around here. Well, I don't know that for
sure. I've got a CD-ROM titled "AS/400 Client Access for Windows 95/NT -
Version 4". But the CD-ROM itself shows "Contains V3R1M2 client". I wondered
if it should have been labeled "ALSO Contains V3R1M2 client", none of the
readme files on the cd-rom give any indication of whether this is the case.

Since the setup requires everything be shut down, I'm going to wait until I'm
done before I try that, to see if it gives you a choice to load V3R1M2 or
something higher. Feel free to save me from that pain if you know the answer
to that one already! <g>

I also need to consider the lowest common denominator - that I need to be able
to connect to my V3R2 AS/400, in addition to the V3R7's, V4R3, & V4R4 boxes.

I checked the OS/400 NFS Support manual - no hits on "guest profile" or even
just "guest".

using ops nav, open your system and select network, server, tcp/ip

select AS400 Net Server and right click selecting properties. Under the
advanced tab look for the Guest profile. It should be at the top. To
change click on the next start button. Change your guest profile to one
that exist and is enabled. I created a profile call NETSRVR with no
password no initial program and initial menu of *signoff. Work great for
me.

Thanks, Chris, but can you give me a little more detail on how to do this?

Check your guest profile setup in Netserver. If some one deleted it, well
you can guess what happens. Sounds like the guest profile has been deleted
or disabled.
