No - they are two different animals.
AFP Utilities are a separate program product - 5769-AF1.
Print Services Facility/400 is the IPDS/AFP printer support and is an
optional chargeable feature of OS/400.
There's one level for Fax, and 3 for various IPM ratings (you get just the
one for the fastest printer that requires it - which are IPDS printers
configures with AFP *YES).
At V5R1 I think the PSF/400 1-28 IPM level goes away and the lowest you
can purchase is the 1-45 IPM level.

Carl,

PSF (Print Services Facilities -- i think???) is the renamed product for
AFP
Utilities and comes in flavors that support various Impressions (pages)
Per
Minute. I have no idea why it is packaged this way, but that's the way it
goes. It appears it was installed with the 60 day demo, that has since
expired.

Subject: Questions about lic program PSF/400

I do not have a clue about this, can any one shed some light?
I see there are 3 licensed program with feature codes 5112, 5113 and 5114
for 5769SS1. They are listed as follows:

5769SS1 V4R4M0 5112 OS/400 - PSF/400 1-20 IPM Printer Support
5769SS1 V4R4M0 5113 OS/400 - PSF/400 1-45 IPM Printer Support
5769SS1 V4R4M0 5114 OS/400 - PSF/400 Any Speed Printer Support

I do not understand the difference between these. I assume IPM means
Images
per Minute. I am trying to config and test and IPDS printer over TCP/IP
and
when I start the writer I get an error in QSYSOPR as follows:

The client has a lic for 5113 but not 5114. The printer is an HP4000 so
it
is not any faster than 45 IPM. Any one have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
