You might want to check out Net400/ROI (http://www.net400.com). Their SMTP email client can be involked from Java, CGI, etc for AS/400 based email services.

An iseries is hosting a web site.  It contains an option to send an email msg to the site.  How does the iseries web site hosting application receive and reply to email messages ( in real time ) ?
